• Topic: Area of Right Angle Triangle

Skill of Explaining 

Pupil Teacher’s activity	Pupil’s activity
By showing a figure of right angle triangle
Pupil teacher will ask the students, “Which type of the figure is this”?	Right angle triangle
How can you say that this figure is right angle triangle?	Because in this figure one angle is of 90 degrees, therefore it is called the right angle triangle.
Now we will find the area of right angle triangle
Here Base = BC, Height = AB and 90 degree angle is angle B Area of Right Angle Triangle = ½ x Base x Height = ½ x BC x AB
Example – If BC =  4 cm and AB = 5 cm then area of right angle triangle = ½ x 4 x 5 = 10 cm2
